Essential Information
Dr. Denise Assogna wants Hudson Valley residents to know that state-of-the-art endodontic (root canal) treatment is within close reach. The Assogna Endodontic Specialty Group (AESG) utilizes the latest techniques and technologies to save teeth that would otherwise need extraction. “So many of our patients fear discomfort,” says Dr. Assogna. “Not only is treatment pain-free, many people fall asleep during the procedure.”No detail is too small for the doctors and staff at AESG. Patients are warmly greeted to the spa-like facility by the compassionate staff and offered refreshments. For their comfort during treatment, patients are offered spa hand treatments, music, pillows and blankets. Operating microscopes enable the doctors to visualize extra roots, fractures and calcified canals. Failing root canals can be redone and damaged roots can be repaired. Problems are corrected efficiently, saving the patient time and money. Most root canals are completed in one visit, and patients are called to check on their recovery. Dr. Assogna is a graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where she completed her two year endodontic residency. She earned her D.D.S. at SUNY Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, and holds a B.S. from Fordham University. She has taught at Harvard, SUNY Stony Brook, and presently at Castle Point VA.
